Andrew Kessler
Artistic Director
Andrew Kessler (he/him) goes by “Andy” and is a Niles local. He’s originally from Redding, CA. He has a BA in music from CSU East Bay and is the current Music Director for Niles Discovery Church. He has performed in several operas and symphonies including with the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra where he performed the Toreador Song. His choral philosophy is to cultivate a fun and relaxed atmosphere, ensuring that the choir members are enjoying themselves, and from that, beautiful music will flow. He also plays bass guitar and enjoys video games, origami and hanging out with his cat, Simon.
Hsin-Yee Shih
Accompanist
Hsin-Yee earned her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Bachelor’s degree in Oboe Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where she studied piano with Benjamin Pasternack and oboe with Joseph Turner. Hsin-Yee has accompanied for the Ohlone Chamber Singers in Fremont and Summer in the City Camp at San Jose State University. She is currently the accompanist for the Community Women’s Chorus in South Bay. She currently teaches piano at C&L Music and privately in Fremont, CA.
